Why #oddlysatisfying motion pictures are so oddly fulfilling

Watching films of various obligations being finished is oddly pleasant and reminds us of pre-lockdown existence COMMENT 3 June 2020

IT STARTED innocently enough, with a friend telling me about the Peregrine Nest Cam on the University of California, Berkeley. High inside the campus clock tower, below a webcam’s watchful eye, a few biology researchers had arranged a box of gravel for 2 peregrine falcons and their 3 floofy, awkward babies. I couldn’t prevent watching. I’ve spent weeks following alongside because the chicks shed their down, fought for chunks of meat and screamed on the pinnacle of their lungs. Now, they're nearly ready to fly and I feel a deep sense of achievement.
